Sarvesh Tiwari is an empathetic philanthropist and a compassionate social activist. Imbued with compassion and a spirit of service towards the underprivileged sections of society, Sarvesh has always been at the forefront in supporting various social upliftment programs. Whether through CSR activities of the organizations he has been associated with or in his capacity, Sarvesh has tried to address several social issues.

Sarvesh has been actively working to address the issues faced by specially-abled, gender discriminated, migrants and the families of martyrs. A communications & media expert by profession, he understands the need for communication and the role of media in bringing social change. While working with the corporate communications wing of various infrastructure organizations, he assured that the CSR activities were carried out regularly and became an unalienable practice.

During his stint with DMRC, Sarvesh was entrusted with the responsibility of Stakeholder Management. As a compassionate person, he was moved by the plight of people who lost their homes. He resolved to establish a model code for relocation & rehabilitation; it was accepted and appreciated by the top management. The successful implementation of this program made him the most sought after stakeholder management professional.

The fact that the headquarter of the organization he is associated with was inaugurated by special children from ‘Upasana Special School’ speaks volumes about his approach towards life. He has time and again tried to share the joy with the marginalized, and has been celebrating anniversaries and other merry occasions with the physically and mentally challenged orphans at Deepashram. Concerned about their well-being, Sarvesh also stepped in to arrange for their lunch all-round the year.

Moved by the sacrifice of armed force personnel in the Uri attack, Sarvesh adopted the family of Sunil Kumar Vidyarthi and has taken the responsibility to fund the education of his children. Since then, he has been vocal about providing support to the martyrs. He is doing his best to reach out to the families of the martyrs and help them get their voices heard.

Sarvesh has actively championed the cause of justice for Nirbhaya- the victim of infamous Delhi assault case of December 2012. He is working vigorously to bridge the gap due to gender discrimination and was invited by Nirbhaya’s parents to take the responsibility of being the General Secretary of Nirbhaya Jyoti Trust (an organization founded by Nirbhaya’s parents Ms. Asha Devi and Mr. Badri Nath that helps women in distress).

Rise Always Welfare Society, an NGO run by him, has been actively addressing the issues of migrant workers. Apart from solving individual issues, the NGO organizes cloth donation drives every winter to help the poor migrants in bracing the cold weather of Delhi-NCR.

Relying on the proverb, ‘the pen is mightier than the sword’, Sarvesh has been using his acumen as a social commentator through various mediums including newspapers and journals. Raising his voice against social anomalies, his articles appear in prominent newspapers and journals like The Economic Times, Hindustan Times, Times of India, Outlook, Navbharat Times, Dainik Jagran, Prabhat Khabar. An Editor of fortnightly magazine ‘Delhi News Track’ and ‘Double Helical’ magazine; he has also authored books on social issues. He has been awarded by the Health Minister of Malaysia in recognition of the work done in social welfare.
